About us

This is a ministry of love for all those that are hurting and in need. Whether the needs are physical or emotional, our goal is to reach the "least of these" in the pursuit of the true gospel through the message of the cross.
​We started Into The Darkness with Love simply by giving out cold drinks and sharing the Gospel on the streets of Gainesville. We eventually opened a church (Atlanta Street Mission) in one of the most dangerous projects of Gainesville. As a result of this, we saw an overflow of miracles, salvations and freedom from drug addiction simply by sharing the love of Christ.
The Lord has laid it upon our hearts to not only do all mentioned previously but to strengthen, encourage and make disciples of all men and women.
Our vision is to reach every needy broken area in North Georgia and the world with His love.

Along with ministry in the USA we have established several feeding programs and churches in Africa.
Jamie and Angela Lingerfelt
Jamie and Angela Lingerfelt are the founders of Into The Darkness With Love Ministry.
They live in Lula, GA on their mini farm.
They have 3 beautiful daughters: Faith (23), Destiny (19), and Chairty (12).
Jamie and Angela regularly minster in churches and outreaches all over North Georgia. As well as several drug rehabilitation ministries.
The focus and passion of their hearts is to see people set free by love and living their full potential in Jesus!
Jamie's testimony:
I grew up in Tallahassee, FL in a home full of strife and verbal/ physical abuse. My parents fought constantly and I don't remember many days when they didn't argue to some degree.
I started playing football and doing drugs in High School to deal with the pain of the things I went through at home. Shortly after I graduated High School I was addicted to several drugs, became a drug dealer, and was heavily involved in a dangerous party lifestyle.
I met my wife, Angela, and we decided to move to North Georgia to get away from the lifestyles we had been involved in.
One day while I was sitting alone at a lake in the mountains, I opened up a Bible that someone had given me. I ran across John 3:16 and was shocked that this God in the Bible would give up His Son for someone as messed up as I was.
In that moment I prayed, "If you are real and you are who you say you are, will you help me because I'm tormented and miserable."
In that moment I felt a peace and love I'd never felt before. When I went to sleep that night, I didn't have nightmares for the first night since I was a kid. I was delivered from multiple addictions, anger, and pain.
Shortly after I got born again I heard the Lord speak to me, " Go into all the world and tell them what I have dine for you and how I've had compassion on you."
I ended up leading my wife, parents, and several other family members to the Lord. And traveling to over 20 countries sharing the Gospel.
Fastforward to present day, along with Angela and I's personal ministry I have the privilege of ministering at several drug rehabs in North Georgia. I consider it a great honor and God's restoration in my life to help those in addiction as I once was!
Angela's testimony:
As a kid I was not raised in a Christian home and both my parents had a rough life in themselves. I can see now that the war between light and darkness was very evident.
I was introduced to marijuana for the first time when I was 8-9 years old. By the age of 16 I was in and out of bars drinking and using drugs. I met a guy in a bar and within a week I was married and on my way to Alaska. My life continued to spiral out of control into deeper depravity and drug addiction. I found myself being trafficked and groomed to smuggle drugs from state to state.
Eventually I moved back home to Florida and continued in a life of addiction and abusive relationships.
I met Jamie at Club Lavela in Panama City and we fell in love. In 1996 we got married, moved to North Georgia, and Jamie got saved. We started going to church and walking out what it looked like to be a believer and follow Jesus. One of the biggest miracles and testimonies of my life occurred shortly after. Jamie and I were told by doctors to adopt because we would never be able to have children of our own. I remember opening my Bible and reading the stories of barren women that God healed and gave children to, I knew and believed that if He did it then He could do it in our life too. In 2000, we had our first BIOLOGICAL daughter, Faith. Not only did God heal me and give us a miracle, but He gave us 3 (Faith, Destiny, and Charity)!
I live to tell the world of the love of Jesus and that there is truly NOTHING impossible for Him!
